1. Its always advisable to carry your Passport or any other identification papers like a copy of your visa , along with you when you move . In places like Dubai this may not be strictly followed but is strongly recommended for countries like Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. A print out of the road Map (given in this website) might be Handy.
2. If you are traveling to Middle East during the Holy Month of Ramadan, You are advised strongly not to eat in public as the act may violate Sharia rules which is followed in most of the countries. Also please note that restaurant availability will be too little to none during the fasting hours.
3. If you are traveling during hot seasons, please be aware that the temperature may reach as high as 40-50 degree celcuis and proper protection may be taken in terms of sunburn and dehydration.
4. Smoking is generally allowed in all countries but alcohol is strictly prohibited in countries except UAE and Bahrain.
5. Countries impose Islamic laws in most of the countries and a level of decency in terms of dressing is most expected. In the case of countries like Saudi Arabia its advisable for women to wear a traditional Burkha or Parda.
6. Its advisable to take a print out of Essential Arabic( published in the website) and keep it in your wallet. You may end up in occasions’ where you find people with no English Knowledge.
7. Middle East countries Visa requirements and rules are subjected to constant change and many of the official site may not be updated as well. So its important to find a reliable Travel agent and check the latest updates . Offices of the national carriers are good sources of Information.
